Music at New Road

The Organ

New Road are very proud of their Norman Bros & Beard organ. It is positioned in the North chancel chamber and is tuned regularly by Jim Molineux.

Our organ is played regularly for services by organist and choirmaster, Philippa Hillman.

The Worship Band

We are fortunate at New Road to have a variety of musicians who play regularly for family services. The band consists of drums, bass guitar, baritone saxophone, digital piano, clarinet, and flute.

Hymn Books

Singing the Faith is our main hymn book at New Road. Hymn words are displayed on large screen at the front of the church. We use OpenLP with a full Singing the Faith library to display hymn words, images and videos. A small amount of hymn books are available in both regular- and large-print.

There are also word and music editions of Hymns and Psalms and Songs of God's People. We are starting to use Songs of Fellowship for our more contemporary services.
